Case Studies

Phillip Colwart Photography website | Visit Site »

Challenge - Hammond, La. based photographer Phillip Colwart needed a way to display his wedding and portrait work in a manner that clients could access anytime. He also wanted the website to creatively reflect his business, and he also wanted the ability to update his images regularly.

Solution - We developed Phillip's website in standard html markup, making the site accessible to everyone while remaining friendly to users and search engines. A simple ftp-based file upload system allows Phillip to upload images whenever he wants, keeping the site content fresh. Creatively, the site portrays an elegance which Phillip wanted for his wedding clients. Phillip has received much traffic and business through his website. He has expanded the website with the addition of a blog, allowing him to further drive traffic to the site while keeping the content fresh.

ChillCo, Inc website | Visit Site »

chillco, incChallenge - A leading provider of comprehensive cooling solutions for commercial and industrial facilities, ChillCo, Inc. was ready to update their website, which had gained significant rankings in the search engines. They also wanted a complete redesign, focusing on a more corporate look, while keeping their current content and maintaining their high search engine rankings.

Solution - We gave ChillCo a sleek, simple corporate look that communicated their position as a leader in the industry. Utilizing the most current website technology, we implemented a CSS based website that accomplished ChillCo's goals of maintaining the high search engine rankings. The current content was used, but given a major graphic overhaul. Also, moving to a CSS based vs. a table-based website also allowed us to reduce the overall size of individual page loads, saving bandwidth and making the site more user friendly (as well as search engine friendly).

Expressive Wood logo and identity

expressive woodChallenge - The expressive wood project was just about as fun as it gets: creatives helping creatives get even more creative. Atlanta-based furniture designer Daniel Hebert's custom furniture is a sight to behold, using colorful natural woods that give each piece a modern yet natural feel (visit his website). He wanted a mark that spoke of his craft as well as craftsmanship and the history of woodworkers from which he came. As with all logos, the mark had to translate to black and white and possibly to other, unforeseen solutions, as you will see below.

Solution - Colorful. Classic. Modern. These were all words from the initial brainstorming session. The final mark is a combination of all of these terms, and brings forth a life of it's own. A classical typeface (Trajan) was combined with a modern tree mark, and the colored leaves gave it that final touch. The mark also translates well into a laser-engraved mark that goes on each of his finished pieces. His print collateral and website let the furniture and mark speak for themselves.

Kay-la handbags, etc. website | Visit Site »

kay-la handbags etcChallenge - With her custom creative handbag company growing, Kayla needed a website that was fresh, funky and worked as a great sales tool. Looking to market her her handbags to wholesalers as well as the public, we stepped up to the plate as both a technical and creative partner.

Solution - In Kayla's own words, “I want people to feel like they are stepping into my living room when they visit the site.” Kayla's style is unique, and her bags are the same. Each is a unique creation available in several custom fabrics. Creatively, we styled the site to compete with the funkiest of the funky sites already on the market...and more importantly to stand out from that crowd. Technically, we implemented an easily modifiable website that will expand with her business. There are also pages which feature large fabric swatches of available fabric for far away customers to get a feel of what the bags will look like. A customer contact form and email list signup also allows Kayla to build a new email list that will be used for future marketing campaigns.
